SnapSweep Privacy Policy

SnapSweep ("the app", "we") is a photo and video cleanup app for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.

The short version: your photos and videos never leave your device. SnapSweep has no accounts, no server of its own, and does not collect, upload, or sell your personal content.

Information the app accesses

Photo and video library

SnapSweep requests access to your device's photo library so you can swipe through your photos and videos and decide which to keep. All browsing, sorting, and deleting happens entirely on your device:

• Photos and videos are read only to display them to you and to show details such as file name and file size.
• Items you swipe away are moved to your device's system recycle bin ("Recently Deleted" on iOS, the trash/bin on Android) by the operating system. SnapSweep never permanently deletes anything on its own; you can restore items from the system bin at any time until the OS removes them.
• No photo, video, thumbnail, or metadata is ever uploaded, transmitted, or shared by SnapSweep.

Data stored on your device

SnapSweep keeps a small amount of data in the app's local storage on your device only:

• Your language, autoplay, and reminder preferences.
• Your cleaning streak (days in a row and items cleaned today).
• Lifetime statistics (total number of items and total storage cleared with the app).
• Whether you purchased the "Remove ads" upgrade.

This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, SnapSweep schedules a local daily reminder to help you keep your cleaning streak. These notifications are created and delivered entirely on your device — no push-notification service or server is involved. You can turn them off at any time in the app's Settings or in your device's notification settings.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of SnapSweep shows ads served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. SnapSweep requests non-personalized ads only. To serve and measure ads, Google may still collect certain device information, such as:

• Device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID)
• IP address and coarse general location derived from it
• Device type, operating system, and ad-interaction data (e.g., whether an ad was viewed or tapped)

This collection is performed by Google under its own policies:

Purchasing the one-time Remove ads upgrade removes all advertising from the app, and with it the AdMob SDK's ad requests.

In-app purchases

SnapSweep offers a single one-time purchase that removes ads. Payment is processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — SnapSweep never sees or stores your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.). The app only records, locally on your device, that the purchase was made so ads stay removed. Purchases can be restored through the store using the "Restore purchases" button in Settings.

What we do NOT do

• We do not collect, upload, or view your photos or videos.
• We do not require or create user accounts.
• We do not operate our own servers or analytics.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app is intended for general audiences; the only third-party data processing is the ad serving described above.

Your choices and rights

• Photo access — you can grant limited or full library access, and change or revoke it at any time in your device settings. The app cannot function as a cleanup tool without at least limited access.
• Notifications — off by a system prompt by default; can be disabled any time in Settings.
• Ads — remove them permanently with the one-time in-app purchase.
• Local data — uninstalling the app removes all locally stored preferences and statistics.

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/EEA under GDPR or Israel under the Privacy Protection Law), you may have additional rights regarding data processed by third parties such as Google. Please refer to Google's privacy documentation linked above for exercising those rights with respect to advertising data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
